Razzamaballs - Raspberry Gin Cocktail with Balsamic Shrub

Razzamaballs Cocktail

Here we go. A cocktail with balsamic vinegar. Are we ready for an adventure? Good. Because it's so full of intense and refreshing raspberry flavor, that you'll drink it too fast. Then you'll want another. Then suddenly, you'll never want another drink without vinegar in it.

Smoked Balsamic Raspberry Shrub

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz Holy Smoke Smoked Balsamic Vinegar
  • 4 oz Holy Smoke Smoked Wildflower Honey
  • 4 oz Water
  • 6 oz Fresh Raspberries

Preparation:

In a mixing bowl, whisk the water, Smoked Balsamic, and Smoked Honey until completely dissolved.

In a non-reactive container with a lid (any tupperware or mason jar will do), smash the raspberries with a whisk or a fork.

Pour the Balsamic Honey mixture over the raspberries and let it sit overnight, or for up to 7 days for a more intense raspberry flavor.

Razzamaballs Cocktail

  • 3 oz Holy Smoke Raspberry Balsamic Shrub
  • 2 oz Gin
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • 6 Mint Leaves, Plus a sprig for garnish
  • Club Soda (about 1 oz)

On the rocks:

In a cocktail shaker muddle the mint leaves. Add 3-4 cubes of ice, shrub, gin, and lemon juice and shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass full of ice and top with club soda. Garnish with a sprig of mint and enjoy!

or if you like it up:

If you enjoy a Gin Fizz style cocktail, after you muddle the mint, add an egg white to the recipe with the Shrub, Gin and Lemon juice in a cocktail shaker without ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Add ice and shake for an additional 20 seconds and strain into a chilled coup glass and top with Club Soda and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Either version makes 1 cocktail.
