Smoky Derby

A simple bourbon, grapefruit, and smoked honey drink. It goes great with a cigar, standing around the grill in your jean shorts and New Balances, and your kitschy apron that says, "Your Opinion Wasn't in the Recipe."

Ingredients:

• 2oz. Bourbon
• 1oz. Grapefruit Juice
• 1/2oz. Rich Smoked Honey Syrup

Making the Rich Smoked Honey Syrup:

          Mix 3 parts Smoked Honey to 1 part water.

Making the drink:

          Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker over ice and shake like the devil. Strain into your favorite glass. Supposedly this drink is not supposed to be on the rocks, so there's that. But, I bet it wouldn't be bad with some ice and a little soda water.
